Subject: English as a Foreign Language. Level: 3rd year of Secondary Education. Name of the project: Welcome to the Philippines. Main goal of the project: In cooperative groups, 3rd ESO English students must research and get familiar with the history, customs, languages, geographical location, places of interest, famous people, etc. of an area of the Philippines (Davao, Manila, Cebu…). The information must be collected and shared digitally and create digital content (poster with Canva) and a presentation it to the rest of the class. Number of sessions: 6 Process: FIRST SESSION Brainstorming: What do you know about the Philippines? (10 min.) Promotional video about the Philippines with subtitles. (10 min.) Video comprehension questions using Kahoot. (20 min.) Vocabulary related to travel and tourism. (15 min.) SECOND SESSION Project instructions: Travel Agency to the Philippines. The teacher will provide school laptops to each group, who will work cooperatively. They will search for information about a specific area in the Philippines assigned to them. They must find basic information (languages, currency, weather, cultural traditions, tourist sites, etc.) and create a four-day itinerary with activities and visits to places in their area. A list of reliable and relevant links will be provided to help them find the information. THIRD SESSION Using the information they gathered, they will create a digital poster in Canva to later present it in a video. Laptops will be used in the classroom. The teacher will guide and support them throughout the process. FOURTH SESSION Finish the poster in Canva. Each group will create two questions about their itinerary to be used later in a collaborative quiz in AULES. These questions can be answered by taking notes during the presentations of other groups. FIFTH SESSION Video presentation: After finishing the digital poster in Canva, students will record a video in groups, presenting the four-day itinerary of their assigned area in the Philippines. They will use their phones or the school tablets if needed. Once the video is ready, they will upload it to the AULES assignment along with the poster. The evaluation rubric will also be available in AULES. SIXTH SESSION In-class presentation of the videos and posters. Completion of the collaborative quiz based on questions from the group presentations. Project conclusions.
