Project Title: Time Detectives Brief Explanation of the Project In Time Detectives, ESL students in 5th grade work together to create a collaborative timeline exploring objects and inventions from the past. Using the structures “Was there…?” and “Were there…?”, they research whether certain everyday objects existed in specific historical periods. To guide their learning, they interact with an AI agent (Copilot) that gives feedback on their grammar and answers their historical questions. Students then use a digital tool (approved by Aules GVA) to propose and organize dates on a shared timeline, helping them visualize and reflect on how everyday life has changed over time. Objectives of the Project Linguistic Objective: Practice and consolidate the use of “Was there…?” / “Were there…?” to ask and answer questions about the past. Improve grammatical accuracy and confidence in oral and written English. Digital Competence Objective: Develop basic digital research skills and learn to evaluate simple online information critically.
