Today, we are immersed in a society in constant transformation, where the search for sustainability and the preservation of the planet are fundamental priorities. However, are our cities prepared to address these challenges and achieve a balance with our environment? In the future, new, more sustainable cities are projected to be built, characterized by efficient waste management and a focus on more environmentally friendly modes of transportation. It is crucial that students reflect on these issues and propose solutions. Since they will be the next generation to inhabit these Smart Cities, it is proposed that they actively participate in their design, contributing their perspectives and interests. Consequently, the focus of this project is to explore and design cities of the future, using vocabulary related to the urban life and future tenses in English. Students will develop language skills, creativity, critical thinking and teamwork as they imagine and promote a futuristic city.
