Aquest recurs serveix per a obtindre informació sobre què és una notícia (parts, característiques, recursos lingüístics) i sobre la crònica de Jaume I. També serveix per a guiar a l'alumnat a l'hora de realitzar una tasca digital concreta: la creació d'una notícia a partir de la informació sobre els esdeveniments ocorreguts el 9 d'octubre de 1238 (fets històrics els quals es conten en la crònica literària de Jaume I).
