This project revolves around the topic of news and mass media, as well as the credibility that those media may have and the way in which the receptor must keep a critical attitude towards the news that are read or listened to. With this aim in mind, we will analyse and explain terms such as “Fake News”, “Alternative facts” and any other current concepts appearing in the press in English. Thanks to this we will help our students to develop a critical spirit towards mass media. We will also analyse the main elements of a piece of news, focusing mainly on the grammar that is used in these texts. This way, our students will have all the necessary tools to develop the final task of the unit: creating a piece of news.
