La escultura representa un guerrero. Y está realizada en piedra calcarenita blanca de fino grano conocida como «piedra de Santiago de Calatrava». El grupo escultórico procede, en su mayoría, del yacimiento de Cerrillo Blanco (Porcuna, Jaén, España), excavado desde 1975.
